It is the mission of the Rosebud Police Department to safeguard the lives and property of the people we serve, to reduce crime, and to enhance public safety while working within the community to improve quality of life. We do so with integrity, honor, and service while always following the highest ethical standards to maintain public confidence.

Complaint and Compliment Reporting

The Department takes all citizen complaints against its employees seriously and actively investigates misconduct allegations. The complainant must ensure that their complaint is based on factual information. A Rosebud Complaint Form can be submitted personally at the Rosebud Police Department.

Silent Whisper

Rosebud Silent Whisper provides an anonymous channel of communication through which community members can assist law enforcement officials in solving crimes within the Rosebud Police Department while keeping their personal information undisclosed. Rosebud Police Department Silent Whisper is looking for community members to provide information about:

  • Unsolved Crimes
  • Crimes in Progress
  • Wanted Fugitives

Callers are never asked to give their names or other personal information.

Information Worth Disclosing

Any information about criminal activity is worth sharing with law enforcement officials. Rosebud Police Department Silent Whisper is looking for community members who have information regarding, but not limited to, the following examples:

  • Murder
  • Burglary
  • Individuals with Outstanding Felony Warrants
  • Drug Use or Sales
  • Vehicle Theft
  • Assault
  • Rape
  • Suspicious Activity

NOTE: Please never attempt to apprehend any of the wanted individuals. Instead, please call the Rosebud Police Department at 254-583-7919 or contact your local law enforcement agency.

Racial Profiling

This policy reaffirms the department’s commitment to unbiased policing in all its encounters with officers and any person; reinforces procedures that ensure public confidence and mutual trust through the provision of services reasonably and equitably; and protects officers from unwarranted accusations of misconduct when they act within the dictates of departmental policy and the law.

This department’s policy is to police proactively and aggressively investigate suspected law violations. Officers shall enforce state and federal laws responsibly and professionally, regardless of race, ethnicity, or national origin. Officers are strictly prohibited from engaging in racial profiling or any profiling based on ethnic background, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, economic status, cultural group, or any other identifiable group.
